Minaya Still Focusing on the Bullpen

Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com is reporting that the Mets have contacted the agent of left-handed reliever, Will Ohman. Ohman who did a formidable job for the Braves last year as a setup man could fill the last spot in the Mets’ pen.

It continues to be the theme of the offseason, as the Mets are focusing only on the bullpen. Ohman who could be one of the last in line in the pen would act as a 6th or 7th inning guy, who would also be used to get out lefties. As cost conscious as the Mets appear to be, it’s a wonder that the last job in the pen wouldn’t just go to a spring training invitee, or someone from the minors that shines during the spring.
