Cameron in pinstripes

Former Met Mike Cameron has been traded to the Yankees for the over-hyped Melky Cabrera. This was a no brainer for both sides. The Yanks get an solid defensive center fielder with a decent amount of pop in his bat, while the Brewers get a young guy with potential and unload Cameron’s salary.

The Mets officially completed the Putz trade, and as solid as it makes the back end of the bullpen, its sad to see Endy Chavez leave. He will always be remembered for the game 7 catch in 2006, but he was always a vital cog in the Mets machine while he was in uniform.
