Conclusion Coming for Perez and Sheets?

ESPN is reporting that the Mets have increased their offer to Oliver Perez to 3 years $30 million. Additionally saying that Ben Sheets has been in and out of meetings with the Rangers.

Sheets who is a native Texan is said to want to go home, but he also wants to prove to the league that he is a true ace, and one that can be counted on to make 30-35 starts a year. Only problem is that never happens in Texas. The Rangers have an awful home park for pitchers, they’re in the American league, play the Angeles 19 times a year, it doesn’t equate to rebounding you career. I mean look what happened to Chan ho Park and Kevin Millwood, why would Ben Sheets be any different. Texas is where offensive players are reborn, i.e. Josh Hamilton.

In New York Sheets would have a fantastic defense behind him, play in what looks like it will be one of if not the best pitchers park in the game, not to mention playing for a perennial contender, the decision for him and the Mets should be a simple one.
